Quality Improvement Solutions in Child Care

JH Child Protection Services believes the development of quality assurance is important to providing effective practice, aiming higher to provide better outcomes for children and young people in line with Every Child Matters and achieving outcomes of the stakeholders and current legislation enhancing the management of care whether it be Residential, Education, Early Years or Health provisions.

We have a proven track record in the delivery of Quality Improvement Solutions in Social Care with particular strengths in customer focus, process approach and continual improvement and strategically are able to understand the customers long-term aims and feed those into long term planning.

Care Standards legislation requires the Registered Person to:

  • Establish and maintain quality systems
  • Continually review to improve quality of care to ensure the child’s welfare safety and      needs is at the centre of their care
  • Consult with Service Users and Representatives

JH Child Protection Services has a wealth of Social Care Children & Young People knowledge which we have combined into our training modules, combined with strong business acumen and real enthusiasm. Working together, we’ve developed a strong reputation for success, meeting deadlines, comprehensive reports and improving outcomes for children:

  • Updating Policies and procedures
  • Preparation for Ofsted Inspections using the New Ofsted Inspection Framework 2012)
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • File Management

Ofsted promotes the process of self-evaluation to improve practice. Ofsted’s self-evaluation form (SEF) is available to all providers to summarise this process against the Ofsted Self-Evaluation Framework. In completing this form, practitioners are asked to reflect on their practice and identify opportunities for supporting children in meeting the five outcomes from Every Child Matters in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals. We have dedicated professionals working within our team who can provide assistance and support to fully maximise your outcomes and more importantly achieving your desired outcomes

Research informs us that children who experience high-quality early years provision are well placed to achieve better outcomes in school and beyond. Leaders, managers and practitioners should have a clear understanding of the characteristics of high quality Early Years provision and why it is important.

Who is Responsible for Child Care Protection?

The child protection standards are applicable to all public bodies, organisations, professionals and persons who provide statutory services to children. They also establish a framework of best practice in child protection for voluntary, community and independent sector organisations and practitioners (including counsellors and therapists working in a private capacity) who work with or have significant contact with children and young people. They should also help families and members of the public understand how services work to protect children and the important contribution they themselves can make to the safeguarding of children and young people.
