Child Protection Training and Consultancy
Safeguarding Children Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training is in line with the content outlined in Working Together to Safeguard Children published 26th March 2015 which replaces the 2013 document, the updated Ofsted Inspection Safeguarding in Maintained schools and Academies April 2015 briefing for section 5 of the inspection regime.
This briefing paper aims to support inspectors in reviewing schools safeguarding arrangements when carrying out section 5 inspections. The course takes account of latest government legislation statutory guidance and any pending changes, including Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, Keeping Children Safe in Education Statutory Guidance 5th September 2016, Children Act 2004 (section 11); education Act 2002, Statutory Framework Early Years Foundation Stage (effective September 2014) LSCB ‘The training considers the role of the LSCB, and requirements regarding liaison with the Board, and Local Authority Designated Officers (LADOs), in cases of allegations made against a member of staff.
There is an expectation that delegates will have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding basic awareness (Level 1) and safeguarding advanced(Level) prior to attending this course.
